Even better heat dissipation is achieved by designing heat pipes, which are primarily used in the high-end LED stage and floodlight sector.

This is why energy-saving LEDs require heat sinks
LED light sources must be well cooled in order to maximise their efficiency and service life - so that they do not die of "heat death". Although LEDs are much more energy efficient than conventional light bulbs, they still convert a significant amount of electrical energy into heat. Good heat management with high-power LED heat sinks is crucial, as LEDs only convert around 25 - 35 % of the electrical energy into visible light. Very efficient and expensive models manage a maximum of 50%. The rest is released as heat, which must be dissipated quickly using specially developed heat sinks for LEDs. An increasing temperature of the junction has a negative effect on the wavelength and intensity of the light, which in turn leads to undesirable colour changes in the light.

Extruded aluminium heat sinks LED
Aluminium heat sinks are one of the most common designs in the field of electronic LED cooling. Our cost-effective production and low tooling costs make it possible to supply even small and medium-sized series of individually optimised heat sinks. More about extruded heat sinks
Forged aluminium heat sinks LED
Pin coolers are manufactured from high-purity aluminium or copper using the cold forging process. This enables high-performance heat sinks with a very high surface area. In contrast to extruded coolers, complex geometries can also be produced. More about cold forged heat sinks

Crimped Fin copper/aluminium heat sink LED solutions
The thermal "spreading effect" of a copper plate in mechanical combination with lightweight aluminium fins results in very low thermal resistance. By using punched aluminium fins, a very high thermal surface area can also be created to cool systems without a fan. More about crimped heat sinks
Skived Fin High Power LED heat sinks
The skived fin process is used to create coolers made of copper or aluminium with heights of less than 30 mm, which achieve a very high surface area without additional thermal resistance through soldering or crimping thanks to the special manufacturing process. More about scraped heat sinks
