Sustainability is an important part of EKL AG's corporate philosophy. Together with our suppliers and customers, we include economic considerations as well as ecological and social aspects in our decision-making processes. Conflict Minerals
In 2010, the United States Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act). Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act and the implementing regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) require companies listed on the American stock exchange to report whether the products they produce or have commissioned to be produced contain "conflict minerals". The Dodd-Frank Act and the SEC define "conflict minerals" as tantalum, tin, tungsten (and the ores from which they are extracted) and gold.

RoHS Directive
The aim of the RoHS Directive is to ban hazardous substances such as mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, etc. from electronic waste. The basic prerequisite for a partnership with EKL AG on the part of suppliers is compliance with both the RoHS and REACH directives. We also carry out random checks of our incoming goods using X-ray fluorescence analysis.

REACH Regulation
The REACH regulation is an EU chemicals regulation and stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. The main aim of REACH is to regulate the use of substances of very high concern. New SVHCs are added to the candidate list twice a year.

Quality laboratory with state-of-the-art measuring technology
We have greatly expanded our quality laboratory in recent years. In addition to X-ray fluorescence analysis and a 3D measuring machine, we can also carry out rapid thermal tests and much more.

The rapid thermal measuring device is used for comparative testing to the initial samples / reference samples. In addition, position-related thermal tests can be carried out. This ensures that the products cool optimally in the respective installed state.

3D measuring machine
With the help of our two programmable coordinate measuring machines, products up to a maximum component size of 1200x700x600 mm (LxWxH) can be precisely measured.
Even customised products with very tight tolerances can be inspected down to 0.001 mm.

The measuring microscope supports us with highly accurate, repeatable measurements of complex heat sinks of all materials. From a manual 2-axis system to a 3-axis system with automatic edge detection, the measuring microscope offers us a wide range of software and hardware configurations for your specific measurement requirements. The measuring microscope is also equipped with a tactile measuring head to increase accuracy, measurement capabilities and efficiency.

Our two leak testers enable differential pressure tests up to 15 bar with air, without leaving any moisture residue in the cooling circuit. It offers short test cycles and guarantees a 100 % leak test with comprehensive documentation. For higher requirements, the device can also perform tests with water above 50 bar.

Random sample inspection of all incoming goods
To ensure the consistently high quality of our products, we carry out extensive incoming goods inspections for all deliveries in accordance with product-specific test plans and test specifications. Here, too, we are able to intensify testing of the features that are critical for your application.
Customised test specifications can also be easily integrated into the process. The scope of testing is based on AQL or individual specifications. Special test instructions for critical features can be customised. Written documentation and statistical analyses are also possible on request.

During the visual inspection, the products are inspected for scratches, burrs, chips, processing, assembly, packaging, transport damage, etc. In addition, we can also check customised cosmetic requirements, e.g. for visible parts.

With our extensive testing equipment, we are able to measure complex geometries accurately and repeatably. All functionally relevant dimensions are tested, as well as threads, layer thickness, fits, etc.

These rays excite the atoms, causing characteristic fluorescent radiation to be emitted. A detector captures this radiation and analyses it to determine the chemical composition of the sample. This enables fast and precise identification of the elements contained.

All we need for this is a model of your application to integrate it into our test.
